Galapagos taps Indian chemistry

The BioFocus DPI pharmaceutical services division of Belgian drug discovery firm Galapagos has formed collaborations with Indus Biosciences and ProCitius, Indian subsidiaries of CiVentiChem and Sanmar Speciality Chemicals, respectively. The two subsidiaries will provide chemistry services for BioFocus' discovery products division and may support client projects in its medicinal chemistry division. Galapagos CEO Onno van de Stolpe says the deals provide additional chemistry resources in a cost-effective manner.
