Dixie Chemical gets investor

The Chicago-based private equity firm Glencoe Capital has made an investment of undisclosed size in Dixie Chemical, a Houston-based manufacturer of specialty and industrial chemicals. Glencoe Chairman David Evans says Dixie's leading position in anhydride chemistry "presents an excellent opportunity for organic growth."
