Chemical prices are still rising

U.S chemical prices rose for the fourth straight month in August, according to Labor Department data. The producer price index for all chemicals increased 0.5% from July and 10.5% from August of last year to 209.9 (1982 = 100). Meanwhile, the index for industrial chemicals jumped 1.3% from July to 222.7. This number is 21.2% ahead of the index for August a year ago.
