Good Brain for Chemistry

April 30, 2007 | A version of this story appeared in Volume 85, Issue 18

Thanks to Celia Henry Arnaud for "Always on the Move" regarding professor George M. Whitesides (C&EN, March 26, page 18). We should all rejoice that the math faculty at Harvard University miscalculated the size of his undergraduate brain and sent him packing to the chemistry department. Their loss has been our gain!
