Elementis Adds Coatings Resins

British specialty chemical producer Elementis will acquire Taiwan's Deuchem for roughly $80 million. Established in 1978, Deuchem supplies additives and resins to the coatings and related industries from facilities near Taipei and in Shanghai. Elementis says the acquisition will boost its presence in Asia and allow its specialty products division to accelerate growth in the region.
