AkzoNobel Chooses New Paints Head

Tex Gunning, 57, a former Unilever executive, will join AkzoNobel on Sept. 1 as managing director of decorative paints and as a nominee to the firm's management board. He will succeed David Hamill, 51, who will leave Akzo by year's end. Hamill, former CEO of ICI Paints, played a role in integrating ICI into Akzo after this year's $4.2 billion takeover deal.
