Ciba will market Pure Bioscience's silver dihydrogen citrate (SDC) as a preservative and biocide in the personal care, household, and industrial markets. According to Pure, SDC is safe, even if ingested, yet kills many viruses and bacteria in minutes. CEO Michael L. Krall sees a large business opportunity because many antimicrobial chemicals are under regulatory scrutiny.
