Ampac Has Continuous Processing Facility

Ampac Fine Chemicals has inaugurated a kilogram-scale batch and continuous processing plant at its Rancho Cordova, Calif., site. The current Good Manufacturing Practice-certified facility can accommodate individual batch reactions or a continuous manufacturing process involving up to seven reactors from 0.25 to 1 L in volume. Ampac President Aslam Malik says continuous processing is gaining acceptance in the pharmaceutical industry.
