DuPont has opened its DuPont Apollo R&D center at Hong Kong Science Park. DuPont Apollo conducts research on thin-film solar cells in the former British colony and operates thin-film production facilities in Shenzhen, a Chinese city near Hong Kong. DuPont Apollo already employs 100 people in Hong Kong and expects a headcount of 300 in Shenzhen by next year.
