Oxea To Acquire Exxon Ester Plant

Oxea has agreed to acquire ExxonMobil Chemical's ester plant in Amsterdam for an undisclosed sum. Oxea, an oxo chemicals maker formed in 2007 from parts of Degussa and Celanese, says the products made in Amsterdam—esters for applications such as synthetic lubricants—complement its existing portfolio. Oxea also produces intermediates used to make the esters.
