Pfizer Plans New China R&D Center

Pfizer has signed a memorandum of understanding with Wuhan National Bioindustry Base to build an R&D center in Wuhan, China. The center in Midwest China will employ 200 people who will initially support clinical drug trials, but ultimately play a role in new drug development. The Wuhan center will supplement Pfizer’s existing Shanghai-based R&D effort, which now employs 350 people.
