AkzoNobel to add china Surfactants

AkzoNobel is acquiring Boxing Oleochemicals, a Chinese firm that Akzo calls the leading supplier of nitrile amines and derivatives in Asia. Established in 1993, Boxing had sales last year of about $145 million. Bob Margevich, managing director of AkzoNobel Surface Chemistry, says Azko plans to increase capacity at Boxing’s Shandong site with its own manufacturing technology.
