Lanxess will move facilities that produce leather chemicals, plastics additives, and material protection products from Madurai, in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu, to its plant in Jhagadia, Gujarat state. It expects to complete the move by the end of this year. The German firm launched the Jhagadia site in 2010 with rubber chemical and ion-exchange resin facilities.
