Huntsman Buys Polyurethanes Firm

Huntsman Corp. has acquired EMA Kimya Sistemleri Sanayi ve Ticaret, an Istanbul-based producer of polyester polyols and methylene diphenyl diisocyanate-based polyurethane systems used to make insulation, adhesives, and coatings. EMA Kimya had 2010 revenues of about $17 million. Huntsman says the Turkish polyurethane systems market grew 13–15% last year.
