Clariant has doubled capacity for its diethyl phosphinic acid aluminum salt-based flame retardant, Exolit OP, at its plant in Hürth-Knapsack, Germany. The company introduced the product line in 2004 and says it has since seen strong growth from customers looking to replace brominated flame retardants in electrical and electronic applications.
