BASF Boosts Crop Pipeline

BASF says the value of its crop protection pipeline is about $3.7 billion, with products launched since 2010 valued at $1.5 billion. A major product being launched is Xemium, a carboxamide fungicide. BASF says Xemium has the potential to reach about $260 million in annual sales. BASF spent 9–10% of its crop protection sales on R&D in 2011.
