Perpetuating A Stereotype

I was disappointed to see the “Beautiful But Dumb” image in Newscripts (C&EN, Feb. 25, page 48). I know it is an antiquated image from 1939 to draw a laugh about body odor, but it wasn’t funny to me—it just perpetuates stereotypes about women.
