Praxair Adds Fizz With NuCO2 Buy

Industrial gas company Praxair has agreed to buy NuCO2, a provider of beverage carbonation systems, for $1.1 billion from Aurora Capital Group, a private equity firm. Aurora bought NuCO2 for $487 million in 2008. NuCO2 has 900 employees and is expected to generate sales of $250 million this year. Praxair anticipates closing on the deal by the end of March.
