The British government will invest $90 million in a U.K. cell therapy manufacturing center for large-scale production campaigns. The center will be the first of its kind in the country when it opens in 2016–17. It will be run by the Cell Therapy Catapult, a public-private partnership. The location for the center, which is set to employ up to 100 staffers, has yet to be decided.
