Many industries routinely handle complex samples on a daily basis, for example, crude oil, bio-oil, crude oil fractions and derivatives, advanced polymer blends, and complex chemical formulations. Ion mobility offers unique benefits for problem solving in complex materials characterization, including additional peak capacity with an orthogonal mode of separation, physical measurement of ions in the gas phase and advanced structural elucidation.
