DSM Acquires Chinese Firm

DSM has acquired Syntech, a producer of coatings resins based in Shunde in China's southern province of Guangdong. Syntech employs 180 people and has annual sales of $30 million. Through the deal, DSM acquires production facilities, an R&D lab, and a pilot plant. DSM says China is one of the world's fastest growing resin markets.
