DSM nabs Akzo feed additives

DSM will acquire the Crina feed additives business from Akzo Nobel's Intervet unit. Gland, Switzerland-based Crina had sales last year of $8 million in plant extracts used as feed additives, with a focus on digestibility modulators made from essential oil blends. With the acquisition, DSM says it strengthens its position in animal nutrition and health ingredients.
