DSM has expanded a plant in Sittard-Geleen, the Netherlands, that makes Stanyl ForTii, an engineering polymer the company introduced in 2007. Made from tetramethylene diamine, terephthalic acid, and other monomers, ForTii is used in applications such as electronics, where its high heat properties allow it to stand up to lead-free soldering.
