What’s being called the world’s first one-piece chair made of natural fibers was showcased at Material Vision 2011, an architectural materials exhibition held last week in Frankfurt, Germany. The chair, designed by Berlin-based Werner Aisslinger, is made of hemp, kenaf, and a water-based thermoset acrylic resin from BASF. It is more than 75% natural fiber, BASF says.
