C&EN Rediscovered

March 5, 2012 | A version of this story appeared in Volume 90, Issue 10

When I worked as a microbiologist at a large winery in California, I eagerly read each edition of C&EN after the chemists were through with it. When I retired 15 years ago, I no longer had access to the printed version except at the local public library. Then, I saw C&EN Online and I have been reading it steadily since then.
