Toho Tenax plans to increase production of nickel-coated carbon fibers at its Mishima plant in Japan’s Shizuoka prefecture. The company, part of the Teijin Group, expects to double capacity by January 2013 for the fibers, used in molded plastic housing that protects sensitive electronics from electromagnetic damage.
