As I read the article on the cooperative role that chemists played in the Nazi war effort and genocide (C&EN, Sept. 16, 2013, page 30), I wondered whether there might be similar research published in 2040 regarding American chemists and their role in support of the Cold War, four hot wars, and the multiple covert actions by our government.
