Bayer has opened a $54 million, 11,000-m2 greenhouse for testing insecticide candidates in Monheim am Rhein, Germany. The facility provides optimal conditions for testing 30 to 40 crop species. It features 133 compartments, in which a wide variety of climate conditions can be individually replicated, such as temperature, humidity, and length of day.
