Solvay says it plans to close a plant in Salindres, France, that makes trifluoroacetic acid (TFA) and its fluorinated derivatives. The move will eliminate 68 jobs by October 2025. Solvay says the shutdown is due to negative financial performance and dim prospects at the facility.
