Clariant partners with plant-milking firm Plant Advanced Technologies

Plant-milking technology allows scientists to grow and harvest plant roots.

Clariant has formed a partnership with Plant Advanced Technologies. The two firms will advance PAT’s technology for extracting cosmetic ingredients from aeroponic plant roots using a “milking” technique. Clariant will purchase 10% of PAT’s shares and exclusively distribute ingredients developed through the partnership.
