by Alexander H. Tullo
October 13, 2024 | A version of this story appeared in Volume 102, Issue 32

DuPont has filed a complaint with the International Trade Commission (ITC) against two Chinese firms it accuses of infringing on its intellectual property related to its Tyvek polyethylene-based fabric. The firms are Xiamen Dangsheng New Materials and Jiangsu Qingyun New Materials, among other firms. DuPont wants the ITC to investigate its claims and bar importation of infringing materials. Tyvek is familiar on housing construction sites as the wrap used to seal exterior walls.
