AI drug discovery start-up Manas secures $24.6 million in funding

Manas AI, an artificial intelligence drug discovery venture cofounded by the LinkedIn founder Reid Hoffman and the cancer researcher Siddhartha Mukherjee, has raised $24.6 million in seed funding. The start-up says it will use its AI platform to screen vast chemical libraries and find drug candidates for treating cancers, autoimmune diseases, and rare conditions. Manas says it has partnered with Microsoft to access that firm’s Azure cloud computing platform.
