Evonik plans to expand capacity for its di-isononyl-1,2-cyclohexanoate (DINCH) and di-isononyl-1,4-cyclohexane- dicarboxylate (DINCD) polyvinyl chloride (PVC) plasticizers at its complex in Marl, Germany. Both non-phthalate products are derived from isononanol, itself a butene derivative. DINCH is found in PVC compounds for medical devices. DINCD is suitable for vinyl floor floorings and other flexible PVC applications.
