Invista will upgrade this adiponitrile plant in Victoria, Texas.
Invista will spend $250 million to install new technology for making the nylon 6,6 intermediate adiponitrile from butadiene at its Victoria, Texas, plant. Invista developed the technology at its Orange, Texas, plant and spent $100 million installing it there. The firm is also deploying it at its Butachimie joint venture with Solvay in France.
