Baker Hughes to sell Oklahoma plant

Baker Hughes is selling an oil-field chemical plant in Sand Springs, Oklahoma, to Sterling Auxiliaries, a subsidiary of India-based Artek Surfin Chemicals, which also owns the US plastic additive maker Galata Chemicals. The Sand Springs site employs 120 people. In August, Baker Hughes agreed to sell its specialty polymer business, also in Oklahoma, to SK Capital.
