Covestro has agreed to sell its European polycarbonate sheeting business to the Munich-based industrial firm Serafin Group for an undisclosed sum. The business being sold has plants in Belgium and Italy. It has 250 employees and generated sales of about $150 million in 2018. The sale marks Covestro’s exit from the polycarbonate sheeting market following the sale of businesses in North America and India last year.
