The water treatment chemical company Solenis plans to acquire Clearon for an undisclosed sum. Clearon makes sanitizers and disinfectants for water treatment. Solenis says the deal will allow it to expand into chemicals used to treat swimming pools and spas. Platinum Equity bought Solenis from Clayton, Dubilier & Rice and BASF last year. Since then, Solenis has merged with Sigura and has acquired SCL and Neu Kimya Anonim Şirketi, all water treatment companies.
