The Indian pigment producer Sudarshan Chemical Industries has agreed to acquire the German pigment maker Heubach Group, which filed for bankruptcy in April. Press reports from India value the deal at about $140 million. Heubach was part of a consortium that acquired Clariant’s pigment business in 2022. The enlarged Heubach posted sales of more than $1 billion in 2022. Sudarshan has two production sites in India and recorded $307 million in sales in its most recent fiscal year.
