The Finnish explosives firm Forcit says it will spend more than $200 million to build a plant in Pori, Finland, for 2,4,6-trinitrotoluene (TNT), an explosive used in military applications. Forcit says European production capacity for TNT is limited. “Investing in Finland is an investment in increasing the safety and security of not only Finland but also Europe as a whole,” Forcit CEO Joakim Westerlund says in a statement.
