BASF invests in Chinese venture capital fund

BASF Venture Capital is investing in the Longwater Advanced Materials Fund, an investment fund managed by China’s Longwater Investment. BASF describes Longwater as one of China’s few equity funds focused on investing in advanced material and chemistry-related start-ups. In April, Solvay, a BASF competitor, announced its own investment in the Longwater Advanced Materials Fund.
