Bayer Develops LED Materials

Bayer MaterialScience has developed polyurethane casting compounds, made from the company's aliphatic polyisocyanates and polyols, for light-emitting diodes. The materials envelope the LED and can be made very flexible or very hard, Bayer says, enabling a wide range of lighting-element designs.
