C&EN Talks With Douglas La Follette was an interesting article about a very interesting person ... and a Ph.D. chemist to boot (May 14, page 36). It would be encouraging to see more scientists, including women scientists, in the mix of our elected representatives, which has too long been dominated by nonscientific lawyer types.
