The Swedish polyethylene-film maker Doxa Plast has introduced biobased stretch film made with Dow linear low-density polyethylene. Dow produces the polymer with ethylene made in a petrochemical cracker fed in part with tall oil—a by-product of papermaking—from Finland. Doxa says the biobased film furthers its goal of offering customers carbon-neutral versions of all its products.
