JPMorgan Chase is including multiple low-CO2 materials in the construction of its new headquarters in Manhattan, including 9 m3 of granite-based concrete from C-Crete.

The sustainable concrete start-up C-Crete Technologies has poured the first slab of its granite-based concrete, which will form the lobby floor in an upper story of JPMorgan Chase’s new global headquarters in New York City. C-Crete says that the production of the granite cementitious material emits no carbon dioxide, unlike conventional Portland cement, and that the concrete absorbs CO2 from the air as it cures.
