Nouryon building microsphere plant

Nouryon's microspheres are used in construction and other applications.

Nouryon, the former AkzoNobel Specialty Chemicals, says it will build a microsphere plant at an undisclosed US location by late 2020. The thermoplastic microspheres are used as a lightweight filler and blowing agent in a variety of products. The company recently expanded capacity for the spheres in Sundsvall, Sweden.
