Overview
The US cannabis industry is projected to be a $32 Billion industry by 2020, with rapid growth expected in all areas of cannabis operations (production, quality control, informatics, packaging, labeling, security, etc.). Quality control is an essential component to ensure consumer health and safety in this emerging market. This webinar will provide an overview of the rapidly growing industry, the types of products being produced, the tests required, methodologies used, and some of the challenges in testing this very complex plant/product under complex circumstances.
Pesticides pose one of the biggest challenges facing producers and testing labs. The number of pesticides to screen, the concentration of contaminants during the extraction process, and access to the proper equipment and standards required for analysis will be discussed.
