Mamie Moy, 94, of Houston died June 27, 2024.
“Mamie did so much for so many people for so long that she is considered an institution in both the University of Houston and the American Chemical Society. For her, the multitude of honors and recognitions she received over the years were no match for seeing twinkles of aha moments in the eyes of the children and young women she worked with. Those twinkles are the true rewards of her life’s work. Mamie was a great friend and mentor—she helped us reach our full potential and for that we are so thankful. Mamie will forever be cherished by us all.”—Sunny Tang and Amber Hinkle, friends
