Michael P. Rosynek, 78, of College Station, Texas, died May 10, 2023.
“Mike began his professional career at Mobil Oil Research and Development in Princeton, New Jersey, before joining the chemistry department at Texas A&M University, where he rose through the ranks to professor. His research expertise in catalysis is described in over 50 publications. Mike served 34 years as associate head of the Chemistry Department, a remarkable tenure in administration. He excelled also in teaching, earning college- and university-level awards. Students noted his passion and his clear explanation of physical chemistry concepts. Mike was devoted to his family and enjoyed traveling, particularly visiting places of historical significance.”—Pamela Rosynek, wife
