Daniel Scarpiello, 92, of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, died Jan. 10, 2025.
“Born on June 1, 1932, Dan was the son of Italian immigrants. He went to the University of Pittsburgh before earning a scholarship to Yale University, where he obtained a master’s degree in chemistry. His first job was at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in California. He later transitioned to food research and was granted two US patents in that field.”—Michael Scarpiello, son
