She tackled difficult and unresolved problems in air quality, aerosol chemistry, geochemistry, and environmental remediation. Hind cared deeply and spoke passionately about student mentoring; the role of science in society; and equity, diversity, and inclusion. She served as a role model for women in science, especially Muslim and international students and scholars everywhere. Hind will be greatly missed by her family and the many friends and collaborators who had the privilege to know her.”—Vicki Grassian, Franz Geiger, Nadine Kabengi, James Kubicki, and Sergey Nizkorodov, colleagues
